Nigerian Vice President Kashim Shettima, has wished muslims all over the country, happy Maulud celebrations as they mark the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
Speaking through a statement, signed and released by the Vice President, he also urged Nigerians to continue giving their support to the Bola Tinubu’s government with the Renewed Hope agenda of their administration which has the target of making a difference in the lives of Nigerians.
His words: ‘I wish all Muslims happy and remarkable Eid- el-Maulud celebrations to mark the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) whose teachings, predominantly on tolerance, sacrifice, peaceful coexistence, abstinence, honesty and generosity are engraved in our hearts. The universal truth of the values the Great Prophet stood for remain unmovable.’
‘As we harp on this memorable occasion to reflect on whatever temporary challenges we may be facing, I implore all Nigerians to keep faith with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, which is targeted at making a difference in the lives of our people.’
‘We are all part of the vision of a better Nigeria, and we must show astounding resilience in the responsibility of building the Nigeria of our dreams. I believe strongly that with mutual commitment and joint efforts, we will surmount every setback and collectively walk and march hand in hand our great nation to its rightful place and position amongst comity of nations.’
‘As we celebrate this auspicious moment, may the joyous festivity and showers of Allah’s blessings be with us all’, he concluded.
On their part, the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP), has also called for serious prayers for the Divine intervention of Allah in the affairs of the country, even as it wished all Muslims all over the country, a happy Maulud celebration.
According to a press statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Honourable Debo Ologunagba, Wednesday in Abuja, Nigerians are expected to use the celebration of Eid-el-Maulud to strengthen the bond of unity, love and respect they have for one another, especially at this critical time in the life of Nigeria.
Hear him: ‘Eid-el Maulud, the celebration of the birth of Holy Prophet Mohammed (SAW), offers humanity an anchor in God’s love and willingness to guide mankind through obedience to His Will, righteousness, peace and eternal redemption.’
‘The PDP therefore calls on Nigerians, especially those holding sensitive public offices and whose decisions are central to the entrenchment of Justice, Equity and the Rule of Law in our Nation, to use the occasion to imbibe the fear of God in line with the teachings of the Holy Prophet, as this is the only way to guarantee peace and stability in the polity.’
‘Such officials must note that positions are given by the Almighty Allah and that all their actions will be accounted for before Him.’
They felicitated with Nigerians, while wishing them a happy Maulud ceremony.
