We had plans for the new year, this was not one of them – Actor, RMD heartbroken over Sammie Okposo’s death

    Veteran actor, Richard Mofe Damijo professionally known as RMD has recounted his last moments with Gospel singer, Sammie Okposo who passed away in the wee hours of today, November 24, 2022 after he slumped in his home.

    Sharing a video of their last moment together in the United States a month ago, Richard Mofe Damijo disclosed that they spent two weeks together fellowshipping as Men.

    According to RMD, they drank, dined, and made plans for the new year. Lamenting, the thespian said the singer’s death wasn’t part of their plans. He wrote:

    “This was exactly a month ago in the US. We spent 2 weeks together and fellowshipped as men. Ate, drank, and teased.

    Toks would drive you to me and we would spend the entire day together. Made plans for the new year.

    Yet here I’m struggling and looking for words to capture our relationship. Sam Okpoooo as only I can call you, this was not the plan o.”

    Lamenting on the rude shock and praying for the family that Sammie Okposo left behind, Richard Mofe Damijo wrote

    “My Prayers are with your family as you Rest in power, peace and praise.”

     

    Gospel singer, Sammie Okposo slumped on Friday morning, November 25 and died. He was aged 51.

    Okposo made headlines early in the year after he publicly apologized to his wife, Ozioma for cheating on her with another lady in the United States.

    In the apology which was shared on his Instagram page, the singer lamented over the incident which he noted happened in 2021.

    The singer further stated that the development has seen him step aside from ministerial work until “full restoration.”
