In the clip, the actors were seen outside his residence, conversing before entering his home.
Chiwetalu Agu, mourning him, said Jacobs was more than an actor and was the giant of the industry. He said words fail him as he accepts the painful reality that he is no longer alive.
Similarly, Kanayo Kanayo had recounted his experience working with the late actor, revealing that the late veteran was never late on set. He said Jacobs brought a world of experience to Nollywood.

Yul Edochie said Olu Jacobs’ death hit him hard, noting that Olu was one of the greatest actors from the African continent, a consummate thespian, and a legend. Yul recalled working with him and appreciated the legacy he left behind and the kind words he always gave him.

A week before his birthday in 2024, one Oba K Solo alleged that the veteran had passed away. The actor’s family had debunked the news with a video of the veteran getting a haircut from someone, and it was clear that he was hale and hearty.
Recall that in 2021, Olu Jacobs’ wife, Joke Silva opened up on the health condition of the actor, revealing that he is battling dementia.
In 2023, Joke had opened up on the impact of his Illness on their marriage, admitting that it has put a strain on their marriage, as her husband is no longer there for her, but the man that is with her is someone she loves.
