Natasha Osawaru, the wife of legendary singer 2baba, has seemingly confirmed their split by dropping his surname.
In a video shared online, the Edo lawmaker was seen addressing members of the Edo Assembly using her maiden name.
Unlike before, Natasha used to go by Natasha Osawaru Idibia, but is now being addressed as Natasha Irobosa Osawaru.
For months, 2Baba and Natasha have been at the centre of a high-profile, turbulent relationship.
Since going public in 2025, the couple have been trailed with several controversies, which have now led to their split.
Natasha was noticeably absent from 2baba’s 51st birthday party in September The singer had attended the event with four of his kids and his mother.
In August, 2baba and Natasha had clashed at an Abuja club after she stormed there demanding to see the singer. An eyewitness claimed that Natasha stormed the club with her entourage after learning that her husband was there, but the singer calmed the situation.
Following the drama, the famous icon, shared photos with the IGP, saying he had a meaningful conversation with him on community policy.
While performing at his concert in December, the legendary singer tendered an apology to the public. He appealed to Nigerians to forgive him and his family and not to be angry.
Also, last year, social media was agog after videos released online shown the moment, 2baba was arrested on handcuffs after an altercation with Natasha in the UK.
Following the video, a former staff member of 2Baba, identified as Kaka, granted an interview to Freeze, alleging that Natasha frequently hindered the singer’s growth and exerted psychological control over him.
Surprisingly, 2baba had joined the Live broadcast to address the situation when he and Natasha got into a heated argument. The singer quickly exited the live stream, fueling more tension between the couple.
Recall that on July 25th 2025, the music icon had traditionally wedded Natasha, in a low-key ceremony attended by close family members, including the singer’s parents.
