The lawmaker representing South-South region in the National Assembly Service Commission, Chief Francis Atanomeyovwi, has lauded Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, describing him as a thoroughbred politician that has all it takes to handle the affairs of the 10th National Assembly with wisdom, thereby, calling on people of the South-South region, as well as every Nigerian to give him their cooperation.

According to him, because he had worked closely with Chief Godswill Akpabio in the past few months, he was certain that the country was in safe hands because of his leadership skills in the National Assembly, which will provide the needed support to promote the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Bola Tinubu-led administration.
He further stated that ever since Akpabio resumed office as Senate President, he had approved workshops, different retreats from National Assembly members on capacity building seminars and having a better understanding of the onerous duties on the shoulder of the members of the National Assembly.
He described Akpabio as a leader, that was exceptional, as he achieved a lot in the few months he has spent in office, stating that from the way things were going, Nigerians will definitely have better days ahead.
His words: ‘Akpabio’s leadership of the National Assembly does not discriminate. All members are sure of their entitlements irrespective of party affiliation. Today, all National Assembly members are set to sign for their official SUV vehicles to enable them perform their duties effectively.’
‘Unlike what I hear happen at the Delta State House of Assembly where opposition lawmakers are being treated like trash. I salute Senator Godswill Akpabio for his kind disposition to all NASS stakeholders.’
He further stated that the challenges currently being faced by Nigerians, were temporary because the administration of Bola Tinubu and the leadership of Godswill Akpabio were doing everything to change the narrative and build a better society for the good of the common masses.
He solicited for prayers to be said for the Senate President, by Christian leaders in the South-South as well as the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), adding that they needed a partnership and collaboration with them, so as to succeed in the big task ahead.
His words: ‘Finally, I call on all political and christian leaders across Nigeria to rally round Senator Godswill Akpabio so he could succeed as the Senate President. We must shun every act and pull him down tendency that will not serve the interest of Nigeria .’
‘Akpabio must be supported by all men of goodwill for the stability of the NASS leadership, peace and development of Nigeria. Unstable leadership breeds resentment, instability, and unhealthy rivalry. Let us all rise up to support our illustrious son to succeed in this onerous National assignment’, he averred.
