The word “Beef” and confrontations has always been a part of the game in the entertainment industry especially amongst music artistes over the years. Popular musicians, singers, and mostly rappers, are always seen to engage in war of words or physical brawls and sometimes these controversies are further translated into lyrics for their various albums.

There are many rappers who intentionally get into these sorts of antagonistic situations with fellow musicians in the Industry out of jealousy or envy due to the success recorded by those who are the objects of their beef. Some other singers are just wired to be troublesome as well and they thrive in controversial circumstances. Artist like these tend to stir up something out of nothing just to get content for their music.

Recall the serious altercations which happened many years ago in the US between the East side the camp of the Notorious B.I.G (Christopher Wallace) and the Westside the camp of Tupac, (Tupac Amaru Shakur). The beef witnessed numerous brutal killings of artist and their various music groups as well as the release of albums. Even B.I.G and Tupac, the two major rap stars were eventually killed in the cause of these brawls.

Another factor which plays a vital role in all of these are the fanbase of any artist. They have a way of picking sides and making the heat go on for long while they are entertained from the whole situation and scenario.

Nigerians have witnessed their fair share of antagonisms between artist. For instance, there was that between Don Jazzy and Olamide, there was also the standoff between M.I Abaga and Vector the viper. M.I even had a track which he titled ‘Beef’, There’s always the subtle tension between fans of Davido and WizKid though both artists have never shown this publicly.

Just recently,social media reports revealed that prominent and multiple award-winning Nigerian singer, Davido, took to his verified Twitter page to state that he is considering quitting music.

This statement by the “IF” crooner comes shortly after there were multiple online reports that he had a brawl with Burna Boy at a Twist Club and Lounge, in Ghana.

According to reports; In his tweet, the FEM singer simply said, “I go leave this music for una.”

This recent disclosure, might come as a surprise for numerous fans of the billionaire singer who had recorded so many wonderful and intriguing albums and music videos to the listening and viewing pleasure of Nigerians all over the world.

Meanwhile fans of both parties have deliberately kept mute over the recent confrontation. The social media representatives and public relations officers of both artist have been surprisingly unavailable as well, when news sources The Punch tried to seek an audience with them in an attempt to uncover the reasons behind the alleged brawl which transpired at the club in Ghana that already has video evidences surfacing online.
