Abure Escapes “Assassination” From Mysterious Inferno In Abuja Residence – LP

The re-elected National Chairman of the Labour Party, LP Julius Abure has reportedly escaped assassination attempt on Wednesday at his Abuja residence that was gutted by mysterious fire.

The party in a statement by the National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, says Abure and his family members were rushed to a private hospital where they are presently receiving treatment.

Ifoh says that the residence of the LP National Chairman was gutted by fire when Abure and his family members were asleep in the early hours of Wednesday.

He said the family was woken up by neighbours and security men living in the compound who raised the alarm, as Abure and his family members were trapped in the inferno which had reached the staircase.

According to his narration, it took divine intervention for the National Chairman and his family members to escape after neighbours and security men gallantly pulled down one of the windows upstairs making way for them to escape.

He said that the men of the Fire Service arrived shortly after Abure and his family were evacuated.
