Nkem DenChukwu has come a long way as she embraces the golden age of 50.Nkem is a lover of life, God, and arts. She is from Nigeria and has lived in the States for 28 years. She is a proud mama of four amazing teens (15-20). Moved to Houston twenty years ago.
Nkem got her bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration, but her first love is in the arts. Delved into creative writing and filmmaking in 2012.Since then, she has written fourteen books (seven this pandemic) and produced thirteen independent films in Houston. She loves still photography, and absolutely love cooking.
Five of her comments have been published in Oprah Winfrey Magazine between 2013 and 2020. She won the 2020 Houston Public Library literary awards – Reader’s Choice. She was also their inaugural winner in 2019.
