U.S.-Africa Trade Council appoints Imal Silva as Regional Director of Agribusiness – West Africa

Atlanta, GA. USA. Tuesday July 12, 2022: The U.S.-Africa Trade Council, is pleased to announce the appointment of Imal Silva as Regional Director of Agribusiness – West Africa. In this role, Imal will provide regional leadership and strategic guidance and direction, in the programs, policy and strategic efforts to improve the agribusiness trade traffic between the US and Africa.

 

Imal is Co-founder, SILADE Agro Clubs, a business and technical development company in the agro allied space. He is Chairman, Board of Directors, Taprobane Medical Centers with its presence in Nigeria. He is  also the Principal Partner at Imal Silva and Partners, a Business and Investment Advisory firm. Further, he is Co-founder at Initiative for Sustainable Development and Member, ICT Thematic Group, Nigerian Economic Summit Group.

 

A graduate of Biochemistry at the University of Ibadan, he also studied entrepreneurship at the Enterprise Development Center, Lagos Business School. Further, he studied Agribusiness Management for Executives at the Lagos Business School. Imal is a visiting lecturer, Urban and Homestead Farming at the same institution.
