Former Governor of Imo state, Rochas Anayo Okorocha has been arrested by the Economic and Financial crimes commission, EFCC for alleged Money Laundering.
Rochas Okorocha was arrested by EFCC officials on Tuesday in Abuja.
Rochas Okorocha who was Governor of Imo state from 2011 to 2019 has faced several allegations of Fraud and financial misappropriation, all of which he has denied.
In February, he landed in a police station in Imo after engaging in a brawl with some government officials over some of his wife’s properties that were confiscated.
This is the first major arrest done by the anti-graft commission since its new chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa took over.
