The Hollywood actress who is happily engaged to Prince Harry, on Tuesday, January 9. deleted all her social media accounts.
We are talking, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Kensington Palace told Us Weekly, “Ms Markle is grateful to everyone who has followed her social media accounts over the years, however as she has not used them for some time, she has taken the decision to close them.”
As sad as this might be, it hardly comes as a surprise seeing as she takes her hiatus from social media shortly after her engagement to Harry, 33, which was announced in November 2017.
It would also be wise to note that none of the royal family members have their own public social media accounts.
However, updates about the family’s appearances and daily lives are shared on the Instagram, Twitter and Facebook accounts for Kensington Palace, Clarence House and so on.
It would be safe to assume that Meghan is preparing for her new role as a part of the royal family.
Meghan’s final post on Instagram was posted in April 2017 after she shut down her personal blog, The Tig.
Us Weekly reports that Harry and Meghan are set to wed in a televised ceremony at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018.
