Popular Nigerian Singer Chike tells fans – ‘Stop travelling to the East for Christmas’.

Fast-rising Nigerian singer Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka, simply known as Chike, has stated that it is primitive to travel to the East for Christmas in December.

Chike-Ezekpeazu Osebuka is a talented singer from the eastern part of Nigeria who has continued to make his own little impact in the Nigerian entertainment sector. The Ibo born singer originating from Anambra State rose to fame after deciding to pursue his young dream in the entertainment and music industry. His appearance at the biggest stage in west African music auditions was also an early and welcoming inspiration too. He was

He was born on 28 January 1993 (age 27 years), and based in Lagos. He is popularly known by his stage name CHIKE. He is a singer, songwriter actor and model.

His career basically started when he auditioned and successfully became one of the selected participants at the popular reality TV competition Project Fame West Africa in 2015 where he performed marvellously well.
He further contested amongst the participants of the talent competition TV show The Voice Nigeria.

From the above paltform Chike ventured into the entertainment industry and he has been doing excellently well for himself. He signed a record label with, Republic Records. He has starred in some of the major projects of the African magic series notable amongst many is “Battleground”

Furthermore, he has released series of albums which includes; Boo of the Booless, American Greed and Dance of the Booless, Vol. 1.

The singer and actor sounded an advisory note of warning to his fellow indigenes from the east and wrote in a now-deleted tweet that has generated mixed reactions on Twitter that travelling to the East during the festive period for the sole purpose of celebrating Christmas in the village can cost a person their life.

He advised that people who want to travel should pick a better time because the roads are usually busy during the yuletide season.

“Stop traveling to the damn East just coz it’s Christmas! Is it Worth your life???? Stop that primitive behaviour. The roads are busy! Pick some other damn time! Plan. Learn! Learn! Fucking Learn! “, he tweeted.

In as much as many would be critical of this opinion of the superstar, others are of the view that there might be some truth in what he’s saying reasons being that past experiences have proven him right. however, it’s going to be pretty difficult convincing most Nigerians from the east not to travel during the yuletide because that’s the only time they get to meet majority of their friend’s families and folks that they have not seen for a very long. Meanwhile, others seize the opportunity to make plans for the forth coming year with series of family meetings and unions.
