The newly built Lagos-Ibadan train station has been a welcome development to many Nigerians who see this as a very wonderful opportunity and alternative to road transportation as well as air transport as well especially for those who are afraid of heights.
Just recently news sources revealed how two Nigerians whose names were given as Ademola and Pamilerin, gave a review of the new Lagos-Ibadan train service. While acknowledging that the services and experience was splendid, they however also admitted that the Air Conditioner (AC) in the coaches was too much and too cold much and suggested that it should be controlled.
Both of them narrated their experiences on how their first ride on the newly built train went. On Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Ademola said that going by how smooth the ride was, he will be taking the transport system again. He, however, booked the first-class coach. Just like others before him, the rider said that AC is too cold and would need to be regulated.
Ademola’s tweeted “Pamilerin’s experience amplified the state of the AC. The photo he shared showed him slouched on his seat with his iPhone plugged in the socket. He said: “AC don kill me oooo.”
Their experience spiked the curiosity of many others citizens and travellers especially those who ply that route to vow that when next they embark on any journey; they would try the alternative transport system.
Many more Nigerians are beginning to patronise the new transportation system and reports and feedbacks so far has been encouraging.
Former road commuters who have in the past witnessed horrible accidents and even experienced ugly Incidence of robber attacks and kidnappings, have kept testing out the new Lagos-Ibadan speed rail and their experiences of the service have been marvelling so far.
Meanwhile news sources Legit.ng compiled reactions from both posts. Here are a few of them below:
