Big Brother Naija Level Up housemate Phyna is marking the one-year remembrance of her late sister.
Taking to her social media, she noted how it’s been one year since Dangote Group killed her sister and never looked back. She noted how the underage driver walks freely, and her case was swept under the carpet.

Phyna pointed out how people say time heals, but she is yet to heal over her sister’s death. She said there are days she wishes she could have one more conversation with her, hug and laugh with her.
The reality star expressed sorry that she couldn’t get justice for the deceased and promised to love her always.
“31-08-2025… Dangote Group killed my sister and never looked back; the underage truck driver that killed her walks freely today.
One year today… Her case was swept under the carpet.
It’s been exactly one year since I lost you, my sister, and honestly, I still don’t know how to put into words what your absence has done to me. One whole year without seeing you, hearing your voice, laughing with you, or simply knowing that you were somewhere in this world.
People say time heals, but sometimes I wonder if time really heals or if we just learn how to live with the pain. Because even after 365 days, there are moments when it still feels like yesterday. Moments when I remember you and my heart breaks all over again. There are days I wish I could just have one more conversation with you, one more hug, one more laugh, one more opportunity to tell you how much you meant to me.
I miss you in ways I cannot explain. I miss the memories we shared, the little things that only sisters could understand, and the comfort of knowing you were here. Life has continued, but a part of me feels like it stopped the day you left.
I wish you could see me now. I wish you could see everything happening in my life and how much I wish you were here to experience it with me. I wonder what you would say, what advice you would give me, and how proud you would be.
Your absence has taught me that life is truly fragile and that we should never take the people we love for granted. I would give anything for just a little more time with you.
One year has passed, but your memory remains alive in my heart. I will carry you with me for the rest of my life, in every achievement, every tear, every smile, and every moment I wish you were here.
Sleep peacefully, my beautiful sister.
You are deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Until we meet again… I love you always.
I’m sorry I could not get you justice”.
A few weeks ago, the reality star broke down in tears over her late sister, saying she will never forgive herself for not getting justice for her. Phyna urged the public to pray that the person they believe doesn’t lie to them.
Recall that in August, 2025, the reality star called out businessman Aliko Dangote and his business, Dangote Group, over its truck, which crashed into her sister. She claimed that the businessman and his company told the Nigerian police to remove the truck’s plate number. Threatening fire, she noted that the businessman has only money but not God.
Following the incident, Dangote’s group released a press statement expressing its unwavering commitment to the well-being of Phyna’s sister. The company said it’s ensuring full support for the victim, including comprehensive medical care and appropriate compensation.
Unfortunately, on Sunday, August 31st, the reality star’s sister, passed away.
Following her demise, Phyna had penned an emotional tribute to her late sister, while celebrating her child’s 6th birthday. She praised her late sister for shaping her life. The reality star said losing her left a space that no one else can ever fill, but loving her left an imprint that can never fade.
On her son’s birthday, the reality star shared photos of the celebrant, and wished him a happy first birthday. She said that his mum was deeply missed and prayed for him to grow in light.
When Phyna announced that she had undergone surgery, she got massive backlash. Oriretan Honour noted how her elder sister died in pain last year, and yet, she was undergoing surgery. He said her action was unwise, knowing that people may say she used Dangote’s money for that surgery
Responding to the critics, the reality star called Nigerians hypocritical, noting how many of them are miserable. Phyna said her late sister’s parents moved on the second day she died, hence why she is allowed to move on. Phyna noted how she had already grieved her sister and will always have her in her heart.
