“Every day that goes by, we learn more about some of the unprecedented interference,” Clinton said of Russia’s 2016 election involvement during a Tuesday interview on MSNBC. “[Putin] certainly interfered in our election … to hurt me and to help my opponent.”
“I was on the way to winning until a combination of Jim Comey’s letter on October 28th and Russian WikiLeaks raised doubts in the minds of people who were inclined to vote for me but got scared off,” Clinton said. “And the evidence for that intervening event is, I think, compelling, persuasive.”
When asked additionally about what impact sexism or misogyny might have had on the election, Clinton responded saying, “Yes, I do think [misogyny] played a role…I think other things did as well.”
Clinton also talked about her transition back to life as “an activist citizen” who is “part of the resistance.”
