Portable, the controversial singer-songwriter, says he is ready to “take Anthony Joshua down” if he gets a N1 billion fight purse.
The musician announced the challenge on Thursday during a public face-off ahead of his exhibition fight against the streamer Carter Efe.
During his Joshua callout, Portable declared himself the face of “Nigerian boxing”, adding that no one can snatch the “belt” from him.
Portable and Carter Efe will face off in a boxing fight on May 1 at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
In February, Portable revealed that he was paid N40 million for agreeing to the boxing fight with the streamer.
He disclosed that businessman E-Money and producer Soso Soberekon each promised him N50 million and a car if he secured victory.
Carter added that he agreed to the fight after being informed by Soberekon that the winner would receive N50 million.
Portable is not new to celebrity boxing fights. In April 2025, he defeated Speed Darlington, a social media sensation, in a celebrity boxing match.
He also secured wins over actor Charles Okocha in December 2023 and Kelvin Power, Kizz Daniel’s bodyguard, in February 2024.
