Afrobeat singer Davido has slammed his junior colleague, Erigga, over his shady post.
On one of his social media pages, Erigga had a special shout-out to musicians who don’t come from family money and had to grind for every single dollar they earn.
“Shout-out to all the musicians who don’t come from family money and had to grind for every single dollar they earn”.
His post, which seems to shade Davido, who comes from family money, fired back at him.
He noted how he isn’t the one who said Erigga’s father shouldn’t be rich. Davido gave a shout-out to those who come from family money yet still grind to be top.
Slamming Erigga, he told him to stop with his useless motivation, and called him an imbecile.
“No be we say make your pops no guard o.
Shout-out to the ones that came from family money and still grind to the top.
Comot here with that your useless motivation. Imbecīle”.
While reacting to Shallopopi and his label saga, Davido said he also wants to talk, but his manager, Asa Asika, and one Banks are preventing him from speaking out.
In an interview with The Vibe, he boasted about his global career and wealth, saying no peers from similar backgrounds match his achievements outside Africa. The singer questioned which other billionaire’s child in the world has made a name for themselves and made a lot of money like him.
During a livestream with Davrel, Davido disclosed that he spends between $200,000 and $300,000 per month, excluding expenses on his wife, children and his purchases. Davido explained that his monthly spending depends on where he is, but he spends less when he is in the US with his wife and children, as he lives a quieter lifestyle.
In a previous interview, Davido revealed his greatest fear is knowing when it’s time to step away from music to avoid ruining his legacy. He referenced football icon Cristiano Ronaldo, noting that despite everything the Portuguese legend had achieved, he still faced criticism during the World Cup.
Elsewhere in the interview, he expressed a desire to build a centre where people who were once popular and famous can receive therapy.
Over the years, Davido has proven himself to be one of the greatest of his time. He has had several successful albums and shows that pulled in thousands of fans.
Davido’s manager, Asa Asika, reflected on his journey, noting that Davido ran from school to chase his dream and that the school is telling that story.
The music star had bragged as he reflected on his musical journey. In a tweet, he said that since he entered the game, nobody has had peace, and admitted that he loved that effect.
Also, last year, the Grammy nominee noted how people always come together to discredit him. However, God was working overtime for him.
