MultiChoice Nigeria has confirmed that the 2026 season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) will premiere on Sunday, July 26.
During a press conference on Wednesday, the organizers also revealed that this year’s winner will receive a whopping N160 million – the largest grand prize in the show’s history since its inception in 2006.
This includes a cash payment of N100 million and a brand new SUV.
Speaking about the 11th season, Atinuke Babatunde, executive head, content and channels, West Africa, MultiChoice, stated: “Big Brother Naija has consistently redefined African entertainment by bringing together authentic storytelling, compelling personalities, and moments that resonate with millions of viewers.
“Season 11 builds on that legacy with even bigger stakes, fresh twists and an exciting mix of housemates that will keep audiences engaged from premiere night through to the finale.”
The launch event will air at 7 p.m. on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family channels, with a 24-hour show on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 49.
BBNaija fans may watch the episode live on DStv and GOtv Stream. The organizers recently vetted applications for the eleventh season of BBNaija. The physical auditions were held from May 22 to 24 in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu.
The audition was free and accessible to anybody aged 21 and above who had a valid form of identification.
Opeyemi Ayanwale, often known as Imisi, won the last event on October 5, 2025.
She defeated 28 other housemates to win the big prize of N150 million, which included N80 million cash and an SUV.
