A few days after the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu returned from the lavish 50th birthday party of Nigerian businesswoman and socialite, Aisha Achimugu, Nigerians have been curious to find out who she really is and her biography has been a major topic on social media as her true identity is being sought, apparently because of the whooping amount spent at the party, which took place in seven days at a stretch.
According to Premium Times, Gov. Sanwo-Olu, left Lagos amid uncertainties as to his whereabouts, only to end up partying for days at the lavish event at the Carribeans, shuttling between Calivigny Island and Silversand Grenada.
Nigerians became interested in knowing Aisha Achimugu’s biography as her party was estimated to cost billions of naira, having included chartered jets for her guests, international musicians, not forgetting that it lasted for seven days.
Lagosians raised eyebrows at Governor Sanwo-Olu’s absence at the time, especially as people were grappling with challenges of their daily livelihood brought about by the high cost of living, fuel hike due to the devaluation of the Naira and general economic decline. They questioned his responsiveness to their plight and even his use of public funds as he made that trip.
This reporter has beamed her searchlight on Aisha Achimugu’s biography to satisfy the curiosity of our readers. She is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Felak Concept Group. It is a fully functional company that majors in civil structural and transportation engineering.
For some years now, the Felak Concept Group, through her efforts, has widened its scope to also include consultancy/ transaction advisory services, maritime and environmental waste management, while also catering to both private and public sector clientele.
As the MD/CEO, she supervises various companies on the group. She has also been in the forefront of the clamor for developing a deep seaport in South-South Nigeria and through her company, Felak Concept Limited, she became the first female Consultant/Advisor for the project.
Aisha Achimugu was born on January 22, 1974 to her parents, Captain J.E.A and Mrs Adole (rtd). She attended the Federal Government Girls Science School, Kuje, Abuja, from where she was admitted into the University of Jos, in 1998, where she bagged a first degree in Accountancy. After that, she attend the Commonwealth University in Belize where she obtained an Honorary Doctorate Degree.
She has received recognitions for her brilliant accomplishments, through several awards, one of which is the Youth Ambassador for Peace Award, which recognizes individuals whose lives are an example of ideal living for the sake of others and who also dedicate themselves to practices that promote universal moral values.
She has also contributed immensely towards the development of a blueprint for the opening of the Turai Centre for Breast/Cervical
Cancer in Nigeria, not forgetting the 2013 African Achievers fast growing Entrepreneur of the Year award.
She’s also the Founder/President of SAM Empowerment Foundation, which is a part of her humanitarian service that has helped several women and children to be empowered for greatness through impactful programs and projects developed by her.
She is married to Suleiman Akao Achimugu, a successful engineer and entrepreneur. He however died in 2020, of complications from COVID-19. They have three children together.
