Popular singer, Portable, has condemned the award given to Nigerian cross-dresser, Idris Olanrewaju, popularly known as Bobrisky, as ‘Best Dressed Female’ at a high profile movie premier, held at Circle Mall, Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria.
According to the 30 year old singer, the judges of the award ceremony simply promoted homosexuality by giving Bobrisky an award for ‘best dressed female’, maintaining that it was an award that set a destructive precedent because children exposed to such attitudes might begin to emulate the path of cross-dressing.
Hear him: ‘Is Bobrisky a woman? Doesn’t he wear an artificial bum and breasts? There were beautiful actresses at the event, but the judges deemed them unworthy, yet a male was awarded ‘Best Dressed Female.’
His words: ‘Our children will now imitate Bobrisky, a man who does not possess feminine features, simply because the judges honored him with an award. Those who should be in prison or punished for disobeying religious commandments and the country’s laws are being celebrated.’
Portable, went on to describe the judges, as crazy people, for finding Bobrisky worthy to be a winner of such an award. He further warned Bobrisky to stay away from Sango-Ota, Ogun State, dressed in female attire, otherwise he would be dealt with.
Popular thespian, Dayo Amusan, also expressed her displeasure at the choice of Best Female Dresser, by the organizers. She stated in a video posted by her in her verified X page, that the choice of a cross-dresser for that award was an insult to every female that attended the ceremony, adding that she walked out of the hall immediately Bobrisky was announced winner of the controversial award.
Her words: ‘I attended the premiere of a colleague yesterday, where they announced that the Best Dressers would be chosen as one female and one male. Let me clarify: the winner could be anyone, but certainly not a crossdresser. I mean, what’s the issue here? I don’t understand it.’
‘I can’t fathom the judges disrespecting every woman present. You had to select a winner, both a female and male, best-dressed, and yet you undermine the effort of all the women, thereby awarding the best-dressed female title to a crossdresser. I don’t understand; what’s wrong with us?’
She stated that the organizers should have organized a separate category for crossdressers instead of disrespecting women that attended the event.
Meanwhile, Bobrisky, who was dressed in an all-black ensemble while holding a black staff reacted to Portable’s comments on social media and lashed out, especially as he posted that she would be beaten up with firewood any day she came to his hood dressed like a woman.
Her post: ‘@portablebaeby ogun wan kpa ur mama? Wetin concern me with ur life? I resemble ur fellow people in d ghetto? Na God go punish you. If you try shit with me i will take you to where they will deal with u and you ur dead career will end finally.’
