Nigerian singer/songwriter, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy has taken a swipe at the Tinubu-led government over the payment of N8000 monthly to 12 million households to enable poor and vulnerable Nigerians cope with the cost of meeting basic needs after fuel subsidy was removed.
We reported that the Federal Government had announced that it would transfer the sum of 8000 a month to 12 million poor and low-income households for a period of six months with a multiplying effect on about 60 million individuals. Reacting in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Thursday, Charly Boy said the Tinubu government is using the same format used by the Muhammadu Buhari administration to distribute palliatives to Nigerians during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Labour Party (LP) supporter, therefore, described the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a fraud.
He wrote: “APC Yahoo Yahoo Same Format. God why? ”
