With the recent debates and obvious concerns by all residents of the federation, particularly as it relates to the ongoing trend of unprovoked, suspicious and controversial kidnappings all over the northern region of the country, many people are now not only worried but rather, are quite convinced that there is a bigger and underlying factor which is responsible for these incessant terrorism inflicted on Innocent and defenceless citizens.

Indeed many Nigerians have turned their initial perception of worries and fears, into suspicion while others who have began to make personal investigations and inquiry to unravel the endgame and plans of these persistent anomalies are already pointing accusing fingers to the amazement of the general public, due to the fact that discoveries has revealed that certain persons in position of leadership are alleged to be the brains and masterminds behind some of these kidnappings that are being perpetrated and experienced by Nigerians all over the federation on daily basis.

Just few days ago the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) stated that the governor of Zamfara Bello Matawalle, should be formally invited, quizzed and duly investigated and if possible be treated as an accomplice in the recent incidence of abductions in the state.

Understand the clear picture behind these inhumane and cruel acts of kidnappings especially as it involves harmless and innocent students.

The Forum disclosed that Bello Matawalle, governor of Zamfara, should be treated as “an accomplice” if he fails to name the abductors of students of Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe.

Jangebe students kidnappers mysteriously took students

Recall that the Jangebe students were mysteriously taken away 4 days ago from their school in Talata Mafara LGA, but regained their freedom on Tuesday March 02 2021.

The Zamfara state governor however raised quite a series of suspicion from residents with the comments he made on Sunday speaking with regards to the incidence, when he disclosed that Nigerians would be really alarmed to know the people behind the abduction.
He further made allusions to the fact that some persons even made frantic efforts to sabotage the process of the schoolgirls regaining their freedom

The ACF however did not take kindly to the governor’s comments and reacted, insisting that security agencies should question him on the identities of the criminals he is trying to cover up. These so called high profile persons behind these nefarious attacks should be made known to the general public.

Audu Ogbe, who is part of the ACF, said it is “stunned” by the comments of the governor.

“We also ask the security agencies to question the governor on the identifies of the criminals he is trying to hide. If he refuses to disclose their identities, he must be treated as an accomplice to the criminal act of kidnapping,” the statement read.

“The ACF has been embarrassed by the spate of kidnappings especially of school children spreading like wildfire all over the north. People in positions of authority that will help us out of this mess like Governor Matawalle must stop embarrassing the north and country with careless statements on a serious issue like the kidnappings of school children.

“Zamfara State and the north are way behind the rest of the country in educational development. The serial kidnappings of school pupils in the north will only worsen a bad and unacceptable state of education in the North.”

Meanwhile, the ACF, talked about a probable review of the recent decision of the Amalgamated Union of Foodstuff and Cattle Dealers Association (AUFCDA) to stop the movement of food items from the north to the south, expressing deep concerns over the decision. They claimed that such rash policies would not be wise as it would further complicate the socio-economic and political problems bedevilling Nigeria.

“We call on the leadership of the union to put a halt to their so-called embargo & blockade. Nigeria is not at war with itself and such drastic action is not necessary,” the statement read.

“We believe that whatever may be the difficulties of their members in operating in other parts of the country, ACF leadership led by me is willing to help them solve these by talking to security agencies and the government.”
