The Nigerian Army has said that more camps of the Islamist sect, Boko Haram have been destroyed.

This was contained in a statement issued by Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, the acting director, Army public relations on the recent victories of the troops as they look forward to the December deadline for defeating the insurgents.

He said the fight against the insurgents is gathering momentum with the discovery and destruction of the sect’s equipment and camps.

According to the statement “the fight against Boko Haram terrorists is continuing to maintain its momentum with the discovery and destruction of terrorists’ camps, weapons and equipment, while the terrorists have been fleeing, and abandoning their bases.

“In 25 Task Force Brigade’s area of responsibility, the troops were able to clear Boko Haram terrorists camps at Nwalemer, Mallemiri and Bale. Similarly in Gwoza axis, troops of 26 Task Force Brigade have also destroyed terrorists camps in Tripkwopta and Gidan Gachi yesterday.
