We bring to you the Top 5 highest earners in the Nigerian Music Industry for the year 2018.
NOTE:- This is not a list of Richest Nigerian artiste, rather a list of who made more money in 2018 as a calendar year.

The position of each acts is as a result of their sold out shows, their performance, album or singles copies sold and other financial embodied factors.

1. Wizkid

In 2018, Wizkid joined the list of highest paid artists in the world following his performance at a royal wedding in India.

He was reported to have been paid 50 million rupees (N245.9 Million) for a live performance.

Standard performance fee stands at N10-15 million.

2. Davido

Only in 2018, Davido announced that his hit songs “If” and “Fall” had gone diamond and platinum in sales respectively, that’s over 2million copies sold online.

Davido who was signed to Sony’s RCA Records in 2016, made his announcement when he was at Sony Music Entertainment office in the United States of America in February 2018.

3. Burna Boy

This year has definitely been a great year for Burna Boy, not just serving hits back to back but also shutting down concerts.

Earlier this year during his ‘Life On The Outside ‘ tour, his headline concert at the Brixton Academy O2 arena in London was sold out. The arena has a capacity of about 4,921.

4. Tiwa Savage

2018 has arguably been Tiwa Savage best year as she won MTV’s Best African Act.

She clinched the award after beating Nigerian singer Davido, and other African acts.

5. D’banj

D’banj was one of the headliners at the prestigious ‘Global Citizen Festival’ in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2018.

This further cements his place as one of Africa’s biggest exports.
