Tinubu denies rift with Amaechi over Senate presidency

Bola-Tinubu-BellaNaijaLagos – Former governor of Lagos State and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu has denied any rift between him and Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State over who becomes the next Senate President, reports Encomium Weekly.

Tinubu described the alleged rift as rumours.

Tinubu, who spoke through one of his media aides, stated the alleged rift was the handiwork of jobless rumour mongers.

Reports were rife in the last few days that Tinubu and Amaechi are currently involved in a fierce political battle over who will produce the next Senate President.

The report had it that while Tinubu has thrown its weight behind Senate Minority Leader, George Akume,  Amaechi is pushing hard for the emergence of Bukola Saraki.
