Nigerian philanthropist, Olakunle Churchill has reacted to recent divorce rumours as regards his marriage to actress Rosy Meurer.
Recall that the controversial blogger, Gistlovers alleged on Instagram that infidelity and domestic violence were at the core of the couple’s divorce.
The anonymous blogger claimed that Olakunle Churchill had purportedly been physically abusive towards Rosy and had been absent from their shared residence. Despite Rosy’s public admiration for her husband, the blog asserted that she was the primary breadwinner for the family.
Furthermore, the blog suggested that Churchill was involved with another woman, parading her openly, which was the primary cause of tension in their relationship and led to Rosy being ridiculed.
In a recent development, Olakunle Churchill addressed the rumour via his Instagram page, highlighting the curious human tendency to propagate bad news more fervently than good news. He affirmed that while positive news doesn’t get good reach, negative news spreads rapidly.
Churchill added that as he can’t control other people’s thoughts or perceptions about him, he has channelled his energy into personal growth and self-improvement, focusing on his journey. He noted that those who criticized a person today could praise the same person tomorrow.
In his words:
“When people hear good things about you, they stay silent. When they hear bad things about you, they spread it like wildfire. When they hear nothing about you, they make things up.
However, it’s important to remember that you cannot control what others say or how they perceive you. Instead, focus on being the best version of yourself, and concentrate on the journey, the same mouth that bites you will celebrate you.”
