The Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi has done the needful to ceremoniously welcome his second wife, Olori Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmuda to the palace.
Recall that after the monarch divorced his ex wife, Olori Naomi Silekunola, he got married to five wives between September and October 2022.
Days after marrying Olori Maria Ogunwusi, as his first wife, he got married to Olori Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmuda in Magodo, Lagos State with his Chiefs representing him as she was announced as his first wife.
Just recently, the monarch sent out invitation cards, dated May 10 to announce the thanksgiving service and royal reception of his new wife, Olori Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmuda.
The thanksgiving service and reception will take place on Saturday 20th of May. Before then, the traditional entry of the Queen into the ancient Ife Oodua Palace of Ile-Ife will take place, Thursday, the 18th of May.
Interestingly, the handsome monarch got married to five women in one month. He married his Queen, Miriam Anako in September 2022. That was nine months after Olori Naomi, his ex-wife confirmed the end of their three-year marriage. Shortly after that, he married Olori Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmuda.
Just a month after, precisely on the 9th of October, he married Olori Tobi Phillips. A few days after he married Tobi Phillips, Ooni took Princess Ashley Adegoke as his wife on the 14th of October. The monarch followed this up with his marriage to Princess Ronke Ademiluyi. Much later, he had the last marriage engagement with Olori Temitope Adesegun.
For the first time since their wedding, the monarch recently attended a book launch in Lagos with his three Oloris. And that marked their first publicized outing.
The new queen, Olori Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmuda is a native of Ondo state and said to be a Scotland-based electronic data processor. She used to work with a UK-based company that constructs commercial buildings, known as Ztech Global Limited. She worked with them in the UK between the 2nd of July and the 1st of November 2019.
On his part, the Ooni of Ife, also known as Ojájá 11, was born on the 17th of October 1974. He’s the third out of seven children born to Prince John Oluropo, Ogunwusi and Princess Margaret Wuraola Sidikatu Abegbe Ogunwusi.
Apart from being a chartered accountant, he’s also an associate accounting technician. Among many things, he is a real estate magnate, an astute businessman and a member of the Institute of Directors and the Global Real Estate Institute.
Before he was selected as the Ooni of Ife, he was the Managing Director of Howard Roark Gardens Limited, undertaking a multi-million naira Jacob Mews Estate project in Yaba and the Lakeview real estate development in Lekki.
On the 7th of December 2015. He was crowned the 51st Ooni of Ife at the Enuwa Square in Ile-Ife. After emerging victorious out of 21 contenders for the stool on the 26th of October. He is from the Royal House of Giesi of the Oranmiyan Dynasty.
