Oluremi Tinubu Assures Nigerian Youths of a Rebirth of the Country

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu has assured Nigerian youths that they will witness the rebirth of a new Nigeria that will take its place in the comity of Nations, as long as they keep believing in the country.

Speaking, during an event tagged: ‘Honouring the Youths of Our Nation’, in preparation of the first anniversary of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, which was held at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.

At the event, which was themed ‘Becoming Pathway to Success’, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, emphasized on the importance of gaining education in order to attain great heights in life. She gave them the assurance that her pet project, the Renewed Hope Initiative(RHI), Is channeled towards complimenting the efforts of President Bola Tinubu, in the education, social investment and economic empowerment spheres.

Her words: ‘Stay in school, finish school because we are a developing country. When you stay and finish your education, you will have more options.’

‘We will continue to do our best to provide an enabling environment to foster and support you as active participants in national development and in re-writing Nigeria’s story for good.I urge us to keep believing in Nigeria, by the special grace of God, we will witness the rebirth of a new nation that will take its rightful place among the comity of Nations’, she said.

She appreciated the panelists that participated in the discussion session held during the event. The Chess Master, Tunde Onakoya, according to her, was a beacon of light in the realm of social impact, who captured the hearts of many people with his unflinching dedication to empower vulnerable children through the strategic game of chess. According to her, he left footprints in the sands of time by breaking the Guinness world record for the longest marathon chess game and donating the proceeds towards noble charitable causes.

She also lauded another panelist, Hauwa Shakir, who is a budding fashion designer, lawyer, content creator, serial entrepreneur and CEO of KuluAbuja, who always makes a difference through her creative brilliance and steady passion.

She also applauded the first Nigerian woman commissioned from the esteemed Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, UK, Second Lt. Princess Oluchukwu Owowoh, describing her as a trailblazer who broke barriers to attain that position. She described her journey in the military as an inspiration for young girls, as she showcases the fact that merit and dedication transcends gender boundaries, with a blend of elegance and intellect, which is not readily found in the young girls of today.

On the part of the founding partner of Future Africa, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, the First Lady hailed him for being one of the tech visionaries and innovators that have revolutionized the African innovation and investment landscape,leaving an indelible impression on the country and the African continent at large.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu thanked the panelists for their admirable pursuit of excellence and groundbreaking contributions. She also described them as pillars of progress that will shape a bright future for generations to come, she seized the opportunity to remind the youths of the #ONE NIGERIAn Unity Fabric competition, which is open to all Nigerians resident both in and out of the country.

Hear her: ‘The #ONE NIGERIA/unity fabric, is N25 million as the star prize. We are going to be showcasing that by October 1st by the grace of God.’

‘We have some very few entries in a country of 200 million people, we have less than 40 entries. Are you going to try? It is better than social media.’

The Minister of Youth, Dr Jamila Bio-Ibrahim, on her part, stated that the event was made to celebrate the achievements of the youths in their various fields, and recognize them for their efforts as part of the Renewed Hope initiative of the Tinubu administration. She added that the present government is committed to supporting every youth in the country. She also commended the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her commitment to the youths generally.
