The ex-US President dropped the hint in a video message he sent Jay Z as the rapper was inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame.
He said: “Jay Z and I are also fools to our daughters. Although he’s he’s going to have me beat when those twins show up.”
Fans immediately began to speculate that the politician had just let slip some important baby news.
With Obama dad to two daughters – Malia, 18, and Sasha, 16; Jay Z and Beyonce could only have them “beat” with THREE girls as they are already parents to Blue Ivy, five.
One fan wrote: “Did he just kinda let it slip out that the twins are girls?’ while another concluded that the ex-President had let slip a “gender reveal.”
Meanwhile, Twitter has been going wild with rumours that the singer has already given birth to the twins.
And Jay z – real name Shawn Carter – fuelled speculation by skipping the prestigious ceremony last night.
He is the first rapper ever to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame and received a special message from Obama despite his absence.
Did he just kinda let it slip out that the twins are girls??? Missing you @potus44 @BarackObama congratulations Jay Z🎉🎉🎊🎊😊

In a special video recording, Obama likened himself to the Brooklyn-born musician, jokingly saying: “Let’s face it – we both have wives who are significantly more popular than we are.”
He added: “I like to think Mr. Carter and I understand each other. Nobody who met us as younger men would have expected us to be where we are today.
“We know what it’s like not to have a father around. We know what it’s like not to come from much. And to know people who didn’t get the same breaks that we did.
“And so we try to prop open those doors of opportunity so that it’s a little easier for who come up behind us as well.”
Jay’s award was picked up on his behalf by record label boss Jon Platt, who passed on the rapper’s apologies for his absence.
He said: “I can’t begin to tell you how much this honour means to me – I’m sorry… it’s not my award.
“I can’t begin to tell you how much this award means to Jay. He’s really sorry he can’t be here with you tonight.”
Uncle jigger, lol. Waiting for my niece’s to arrive. Hahaha
