Three motorcyclists who supply food items to kidnappers along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway have been arrested by the police in Oyo State.
The suspects, on Thursday, narrated their role in a recent kidnapping operation on the expressway which led to the death of a 45-year-old man, Oluwatosin Anwajoye.
Daily Trust further reports that the suspects confirmed that they were involved in the January 7, kidnaping at Onigari area of the expressway.
Revealing their role at a press conference held by the state’s Commissioner of Police (CP), Ngozi Onadeko, the leader of the motorcycle riders, Bashiru Abubakar, had confessed that the kidnappers promised to buy a motorcycle for him after the operation.
According to CP Ngozi, the suspects said they were playing different roles for the kidnappers and being paid N10,000 each after each operation.
Speaking on other suspects paraded, CP said the command arrested another kidnapping syndicate along the Ijebu-Ode-Ibadan Expressway, and some robbers in Ibadan.
