Nigerian actor, rapper, and songwriter, Folarin Falana, popularly known as “Falz”, has emerged as the highest-grossing Nollywood lead actor in 2024.
FilmOne Entertainment, a film distribution company, announced this on Wednesday via its Instagram page, @filmoneng.
Falz achieved the milestone with Funke Akindele’s “Everybody Loves Jenifa”.
Yoruba Nollywood actor, Odunlade Adekola, clinched the second-highest-grossing lead actor for the films, “Beast of Two Worlds”, “Lakatabu”, “Alakada Bad and Boujee”, and “American Japa”.
Kunle Remi is the third highest-grossing lead actor for “Muri & KO” and “Queen Lateefah”.
Timini Egbuson emerged as the fourth highest-grossing lead actor for “All’s Fair in Love”, “Ajosepo”, and “Meeting Funmi’s Parents”, while Uzor Arukwe is the fifth for “What About Us”, “Thinline”, and “Criminal and Family Gbese”.
Ayo Makun clinched the sixth position for “The Waiter”, “All’s Fair in Love”, and “3 Working Days”.
Tobi Bakare emerged eighth highest-grossing Nollywood lead actor for the film, “Farmer’s Bride”.
Tomiwa Tegbe made the ninth position for “Wives on Strike 3”, and “The Uprising”, while Akah Nnani clinched the 10th position for “A Ghettos Love Story”.
