On 1st of July, two suicide bombers have struck a hospital in the heart of Maiduguri. The bombers blew up themselves this morning at Molai/Leprosy/general hospital. The hospital is just about 100 metres away from a market.
The bombers blew up themselves and and injured several others within the community leaving both of them dead. As a result, health workers as well as patients scampered for safety.
Major roads in the town of Maiduguri were earlier closed as Vice president Yemi Osinbajo enmbarked on a one-day working visit to the state to condole with some of the victims of boko haram attacks.
Eye witnesses who preferred anonymity explained that the the first bomber detonated his parcel at the enterance of the hospital killing himself and injuring two others, while the other who was on a bicycle accidentally detonated his bomb at the back-fence of the hospital killing himself only.
Reports indicated that the bombers had sneaked into the city through Sambisa forest.
