The explosion took place on Tuesday 23/06/2015. A female suicide bomber has detonated a bomb killing herself and many people in a crowded market in Wagir, Gujba local government area of Yobe state.
A driver identified as Malam Usaini Jibril, who conveyed the injured to Sani Abatcha Hospital, Damaturu said that he counted 10 dead people on the spot and over 30 injured.
“The girl that detonated the bomb was a very small girl of about 12 years. We counted 10 dead and over 30 injured,” he said.
He said the suicide bomber struck at about 11am at the Kasuwar Buhunna when the market was at its peak.
This attack is coming a week after two explosions rocked Potiskum, Yobe state which claimed the lives of 10 people, causing serious injuries to 8.
