Nigerian music couple Adekunle Gold and Simi have shut down divorce rumours with their latest post.
The couple, in a video posted on Adekunle’s Snapchat page, were seen together abroad, watching the moon.
In the clip, the couple were seen looking up at the sky outside their house, wearing matching glasses and filming with their camera. Adekunle, who was the first to spot the moon, expressed excitement as he wished his fans a happy Ramadan.
The male singer, in awe of the sight, praised the white man for it, while Simi laughed at him for crediting humans rather than God.
The video is coming a few weeks after a fake divorce certificate of the couple circulated online, causing frenzy on the internet.
Although the couple’s management debunked the rumours, many remained sceptical because the lovebirds hadn’t made any public appearances, and Adekunle hadn’t addressed Simi’s controversy.
In January, the parents of three celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary. Adekunle noted how seven years ago, he married his best friend, and since then, every year has been gentler than the last. He said that through it all, loving her has been the easiest and most beautiful decision of his life.
Simi stated that Adekunle is still the one, even after seven years have passed, and expressed gratitude for the joy and peace he brings to her life. Calling him the husband of her youth, she affirmed her love for him.
Recall that in December the power couple, in a video posted on their YouTube page, announced they were expecting their second child. In the clips, Simi was captured showing off her protruding baby bump alongside her husband and their daughter, Deja.
A month ago, Adekunle, on his Snapchat page, announced that he and his wife had welcomed twins. He noted that he had asked God for another child, and God blessed him with twins.
After his mind-blowing show in London, Simi expressed pride in him, describing him as one of one and the greatest showman. She revealed that she was in awe of his talent and praised him for his consistency and aura.
