IAC Partners with 100 Igbos USA, Inc. in Hosting Meeting of Ohaneze Ndigbo with Igbo Diaspora in the Americas
Chicago, IL, April 6, 2017: The Igbo Associations of Chicagoland (IAC) has been invited to partner with 100 Igbos USA to host a meeting of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo with Igbo organization representatives in the Americas from Thursday May 11 to Sunday May 14, 2017 in Chicago. IAC has received an official invitation to this event and has been requested to reach out to Igbo diaspora organizations to send a maximum of three representatives from their national level to attend this important meeting billed to discuss the way forward for Ndigbo in Nigeria.
All Igbo associations in the Americas are strongly encouraged to send three credible representatives to this high level “Igba Izu”. Each participant is required to pay a token $100 to offset meeting expenses. This means that an organization sending three representatives from their national body will pay $300 for their representation. It is imperative that every Igbo organization in Chicago reach out to their National Executives in order to meet these representation requirements. Also, all Representative names should be forwarded to IAC immediately at the contact information below, with their payments so that the venue of the meeting and other meeting information will be communicated to the representatives.
By the same token, IAC has resolved at their last meeting to support its affiliating organization, Umunna Association in hosting World Igbo Congress coming up in Chicago in August 2017. As a result, IAC is hereby encouraging Ndigbo in Chicagoland to come out en-mass to support our Umunna brothers and sisters in any way they can, to ensure that the 2017 World Igbo Congress in Chicago is a big success. For more information on this, please contact Umunna association.
Long live Ndigbo in Diaspora! Long live Ndigbo at Home!!
